COVID-19/Coronavirus Resource for Immigrants and Refugees

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), is a respiratory illness that spreads very quickly from person to person. Humans have not built an immunity to this disease, making it dangerous and often deadly for those who are immune compromised. As we work to mitigate the spread of this disease, information is vital. To limit the spread of COVID-19, it is important to follow all the recommendations provided by the Nevada Health Response Center and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The Governor’s Office for New Americans, in collaboration with the Nevada Health Response team and community organizations, has put together a list of multilingual resources for our immigrant and refugee communities. Our own health depends on the health of the people around us, and the health of the people around them. Ensuring others can access critical information will help our communities remain strong, safe and healthy during this time of crisis.
